Overview:

Unity Charity is seeking a community-minded Studio Administrator to support the operations and coordination of Unity’s Studio and community space. Working as part of Unity’s Studio & Programs Team, the participant will help manage studio bookings and programming, inventory systems, administrative processes, and community resource initiatives that support youth programming, events, and creative collaboration.

Co-supervised by Unity’s Program Director and Program Manager, the participant will gain hands-on experience in arts administration, facility and program coordination, and operations while contributing to a vibrant and youth-centered creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the coordination of studio programming, bookings, rentals, and scheduling during the summer season
  • Assist with recurring property management and operational tasks within Unity’s community space
  • Manage and track inventory, supplies, and equipment while supporting process improvements
  • Update and organize studio training materials and operational resources
  • Assist in developing a physical and digital community resource board
  • Collaborate with staff and artistic teams to support community events and studio activations
  • Help maintain organized systems and welcoming spaces for participants, artists, and partners

Ideal Candidate:

  • Interest in arts administration, programming, community spaces, or event coordination
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • Passionate about youth, arts, and community-building
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, scheduling tools, or administrative systems is an asset
  • Interested in creating welcoming and inclusive community environments

Participant Eligibility Criteria:

To be hired under Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ), participants must:

  • Be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of employment
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person granted refugee status in Canada
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
  • Be legally entitled to work in Ontario

Wages:

Participants will be paid $18.00 per hour for 31 hours per week over a 9-week term, beginning June 8, 2026. Wages are paid bi-weekly by direct deposit, with all applicable statutory deductions applied.
